They want to like them, these progressive mayors, but as the general public gets to see, and smell, these “Occupiers, mayors who want to keep their job can’t stomach the progressive tools any longer.
Whil Richmond VA has the gall to audit the Tea Party for pointing out that progressive mayor’s double standard (the mayor charged Occupiers nothing but made the Tea Party pay to use public space), overnight the mayors of Philadelphia and Los Angeles sent swarms of cops in to evict their Occupiers.
In both cases police came in after midnight and declared that the Occupiers had 10 minutes to get out. Scuffles and Occupier violence against police ensued, and operations seem to have been wrapping up as of this writing.
The Occupy movement are dominated by progressive fringe groups, among whom are the Communist Party, and are backed by the Unions as well as President Obama. They seek a Marxist wealth redistribution scheme and an end to America as we know it, all in the name of so-called “social justice.”
In LA, over 250 tents occupied public space in front of City Hall, denying use of that space to all save the Marxist activists, while the camp in Philadelphia was smaller. In both cases, the city tried to cooperate with the Occupiers, mainly because the mayors are both closet Marxists themselves, but the public outcry against their behavior was becoming too much, and now the Ocupier’s allies have turned on them.
